Product Description
Structural composition
Valve body: usually made of stainless steel, with excellent corrosion resistance and mechanical strength.
Valve plate (butterfly plate): also made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials, the rotation angle is usually 90 degrees, used to open and close or adjust the fluid.
Valve stem: connects the valve plate and the actuator, usually made of stainless steel, with high strength and corrosion resistance.
Sealing ring: can be made of rubber, polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) and other materials to ensure good sealing performance.
Actuator: can be a manually operated handle, or an electric, pneumatic or hydraulic actuator.
Working principle
The stainless steel wafer butterfly valve drives the valve plate to rotate by rotating the valve stem, thereby realizing the opening and closing or adjustment of the valve. The valve plate can be rotated 90 degrees in the valve body to complete the process from full opening to full closing. When the valve plate is parallel to the direction of the fluid, the valve is in a fully open state; when the valve plate is perpendicular to the direction of the fluid, the valve is in a fully closed state.
Features
Simple structure: compact design, easy to install and maintain.
Small size and light weight: butterfly valves are smaller and lighter than other types of valves, such as gate valves and ball valves.
Flexible operation: manual, electric or pneumatic actuators are available, easy to operate.
Good sealing performance: high-quality sealing materials are used to ensure that the valve can still maintain good sealing performance under high pressure and high temperature conditions.
Strong corrosion resistance: stainless steel materials have excellent corrosion resistance and are suitable for various corrosive media.
Strong flow regulation ability: the rotation angle of the valve plate can accurately control the flow rate of the fluid.
Application areas
Stainless steel wafer butterfly valves are widely used in the following industries:
Chemical and petrochemical
Food and beverage processing
Pharmaceutical industry
Water treatment and environmental protection engineering
Paper and textile industry
Electric power and energy
In general, stainless steel wafer butterfly valves have become important components in industrial process control due to their excellent corrosion resistance, simple structure, flexible operation and good sealing performance.
